Inverness Caledonian Thistle will face Lowland League outfit Cowdenbeath in the third round of the Scottish Cup.

The match is scheduled to be played at the Caledonian Stadium on Saturday, November 25.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle reached the Scottish Cup final last season when they lost 3-1 to Celtic at Hampden Park.

In their incredible run to the Scottish Cup final, Inverness actually suffered defeat in the fourth round when they lost 2-0 to Queen's Park.

But Queen's Park were guilty of fielding an ineligible player and Inverness were reinstated into the competition.

Inverness took their second chance and knocked out Premiership opposition, beating Livingston 3-0 and Kilmarnock 2-1 to reach the semi final.

Inverness then saw off Falkirk 3-0 in the semi final at Hampden Park to reach the final where they couldn't cause an upset against Celtic who clinched the treble in June.
