Restrictions on A9 and A82 due to Storm Gerrit
People have been advised to avoid travel unless essential on parts of the A9 and A82 due to restrictions caused by the impact of Storm Gerrit.
Highland Council and other agencies have been meeting to discuss the impacts of Storm Gerrit which has brought wind, rain and snow to the Highlands today.

A council spokesman said: "There are multiple trees and power lines down blocking numerous routes across the Lochaber area including the A82 trunk road.
"There are also very long tailbacks on the A9 due to severe snow conditions at Drumochter.
"Highland Council roads teams are assisting with clearing trees, where it is safe to do so.
"People are advised to avoid travel unless essential in these areas today."
It followed a yellow weather warning from the Met Office.
