Inverness Caledonian Thistle have confirmed that two players have officially left the club following the expiry of their contracts.

Caley Thistle have confirmed on Sunday afternoon that Cillian Sheridan and David Wotherspoon have both left the club.

Wotherspoon (33) joined Inverness in October and was manager Duncan Ferguson's first signing.

During his 10 appearances at the club, he scored four goals, but had been out injured during January.

It is widely expected Wotherspoon will officially sign for Dundee United in the next few days.

Caley Thistle said they offered Wotherspoon a contract to remain at the club through to the end of the season, but he turned it down.

Wotherspoon was named the cinch Championship player of the month for November for his performances.

Caley Thistle also confirmed Sheridan left the club following the expiry of his contract.

The 34-year-old joined Inverness in October and made his debut against Airdrieonians coming on as a substitute. He made his first start for the club against Cowdenbeath in the Scottish Cup in November.
