Sheridan has plenty of experience to add to the Caley Thistle squad, scoring over 100 goals in over 400 matches across spells with Celtic, Motherwell, St Johnstone, Kilmarnock and Dundee.

He has also spent time abroad in Bulgaria, Cyprus, Poland, Australia and Israel, and won three international caps for the Republic of Ireland.

Sheridan will go straight into the squad to face Airdrieonians on Saturday.

The Caley Thistle statement read: "Inverness Caledonian Thistle can confirm the signing of striker Cillian Sheridan on an initial deal until January 2024.

"Sheridan, 34 years-old, is an experienced striker having played in Scotland with Celtic, Motherwell, St Johnstone, Kilmarnock and, most recently, at Dundee.

"Sheridan has also had played outside Scotland with Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia, Cypriot sides APOEL and AC Omonia, in Poland with Jagiellonia Białystok and Wisła Płock, in Australia with Wellington Phoenix and in Israel with Ironi Kiryat Shmona.

"Across his career, Cillian has played over 400 matches scoring over 100 goals and has represented the Republic of Ireland at international level, being capped three times. Welcome to Inverness, Cillian!"
