Woman taken to hospital and man reported to procurator fiscal after two-vehicle crash on A82 near Invermoriston

A man has been reported to the procurator fiscal and a woman taken to hospital after a two-car collision on the A82 near Invermoriston yesterday, police have confirmed.

The busy stretch of Highland trunk road between Invermoriston and Fort Augustus was closed in both directions for several hours following the crash on Monday afternoon.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.50pm on Monday, April 1, 2024 police received a report of a two car crash on the A82 near to Invermoriston.

“One woman was taken to hospital and one man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with road traffic offences.

“The road reopened around 5.15pm.”
