UPDATE: A82 reopened after being closed both ways between Invermoriston and Fort Augustus

Traffic Scotland have confirmed that the A82 has been reopened following a two-vehicle collision earlier this afternoon.

The A82 had been shut between Invermoriston and Fort Augustus following the crash, which is understood to have occurred at around 12.50pm.

An update from Traffic Scotland, shared on Twitter at 5.19pm, said: “The earlier collision has now been cleared and the road has reopened.

“All lanes are running north and southbound.”

The Scottish Fire & Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed that it had been called to attend the scene by the ambulance service at 1.18pm and that two fire engines - one from Fort Augustus and another from Drumnadrochit - were sent to the crash site.

It is not known if there were any injuries.
