Inverness's reigning Miss Scotland performed a trending social media dance as a part of the Miss World competition in India as she competed against over 100 women from across the globe.

Chelsie Allison (26) scooped the title of Miss Scotland in October.

Now, the Tesco Mobile retail manager is spending five weeks in India as part of the Miss World competition.

She said: "The dance we have all been involved in is for one of India’s hottest stars, Neha Kakkar, who will perform at the Miss World final and launch a song composed especially for the occasion.

"She challenged the 112 contestants to do the dance steps, as the last part of their multimedia challenge.

"Doing the dance was so much fun, it gave us a chance to get creative with our video ideas."

The multimedia challenge consists of likes, shares and comments on posts of herself and the Miss World social media channels.

In aid of the pageant, Chelsie has also supported the Highland Hospice as her chosen charity after two of her relatives, who sadly passed away, were taken into the hospice where they received an exceptional standard of care.

She now plans to continue her work alongside the hospice and aims to raise as much money as possible for the cause.
