Promotions at Inverness City Centre Business Improvement District (BID) following internal restructure

Three staff members at Inverness City Centre Business Improvement District (BID) are being promoted into new roles following an internal restructure.

They come into effect from April 24.

Margaret Laws will be BID’s second in command and new deputy manager.

Margaret has over 26 years of extensive strategic and operational experience having previously worked with Inverness City Centre Management and since 2008, as the admin and marketing manager of BID.

“BID is a great organisation to work for and no day is the same so I am delighted to have been given this opportunity,” she said.

“I look forward to continuing to be of service to our city centre business community.”

Janice Worthing has been promoted to the post of BID ambassador and operations co-ordinator which will include coordinating the highly-regarded and award-winning visitor and coach ambassador service in Ardross Street.

Kelly Johns has been promoted to the post of business engagement and support co-ordinator with a key focus on strategic development as well as helping with wider events co-ordination.

John McDonald, who has been with BID since 2016, continues in his key role as BID’s community safety manager.

BID director, Lorraine Bremner McBride said: ‘‘It’s very well deserved that our staff have been rewarded and recognised for their important contributions to BID.

“Our restructure will also ensure that our future development in respect of key positions will now be aligned with our business need.”

Colin Craig BID co-chairperson added: ‘The BID board is extremely grateful to have such a dedicated team.

“Their efforts are commendable and it is thanks to their hard work and passion that we are able to continue to deliver our business plan as well as accomplishing so much more.

“Very well done to done all.”
