Donations raised from a popular community panto have been handed over to two local charities.

Proceeds from ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas – by newly-formed acting group CAST – were shared with Team Hamish and Nairn County Football Club.

CAST’s aim is to create an inclusive drama club for the community while raising funds for local causes.

Co-founder Jean Morrison said:”We had a great night at The Seaforth Club – the members of CAST met up and we had a buffet meal before presenting a cheque of £1000 each to Team Hamish and Nairn County Football Club.

“Due to the amazing support we were able to donate to both causes.

“As a new group of like-minded people who wish to act, sing and perform, by doing something we love we are able to help our community.

“We are already in process of our next show, an adult panto which will be on in the spring, and being able to again donate profits to another local cause.”
