A new drama group in Nairn has announced it will be supporting a local charity at one of its shows.

CAST (Community Acting & Singing Together) is keen to support Nairn Beach Wheelchairs through one of its upcoming shows.

A spokesperson said: “Our group are volunteers who will be putting on shows in the town. All our profits will be given to local charities and good causes.

“Our first performance will be a Christmas panto at Nairn Community and Arts Centre and all profits will be shared between Team Hamish and Nairn County GIF.

“We intend to have our next show in the very near future with profits again shared between relevant causes, and we would like to include Nairn Beach Wheelchairs as a recipient.”

A project launched earlier this summer, CAST is the brainchild of Little Theatre veterans Jean Morrison, Karen Kemp and Dionne Monteiro, who wanted to reach out to the community with a new, inclusive drama group.
