‘Legend’ Bill Bailey pays a visit to Inverness Indian restaurant, Mangrove

World famous star Bill Bailey paid a visit to Mangrove, an Indian restaurant along Academy Street in Inverness, over the course of the weekend.

Mark Robert Bailey, known professionally as Bill Bailey, is an English musician, comedian, actor and television presenter.

Bill is most famous for being in Never Mind The Buzzcocks, celebrity game-show in which he is a team captain. He also won BBC’s ultimate dance competition, Strictly Come Dancing, in 2020, as well as winning "best stand-up" at the British comedy awards.

Mangrove shared their encounter with the comedy legend on social media as they said: “Check out this amazing encounter we had at Mangrove!

“They say it’s never a good idea to meet your heroes, but that doesn’t apply to Bill Bailey.
“Bill and his friends paid us a visit after a long walk in the Highlands and enjoyed a delicious, authentic Indian meal.

“Not only did he have a great chat with our staff, but he also took some pictures with us. What a legend!”
