Pupils at an Inverness performing arts school shone at the latest session of a prestigious exam with all students getting a qualification.

TFX Performing Arts Academy, a local independent school fostering young talent in the Highland capital, has been taking part in London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) exams for 20 years.

With the school adding musical theatre sessions to their LAMDA syllabus for the first time this year, the programme has been a popular choice among students.

LAMDA teacher at TFX, Claire Fisher, said: " LAMDA is an intense examination process not just taking performance into consideration but also research, character development and background knowledge of the play. I am so proud of all our TFXers they showed such professionalism throughout the day and our examiner was really impressed by them.”

On the preparation for the exams, head of drama and creative assistant Amy Crook added: "We strive to give our students as many opportunities as possible and LAMDA exams are so well respected in our industry it’s great to see the success."

Pupils at TFX are constantly involved in local popular events, with their performance company taking part to this year's Ness Factor and Strictly Inverness among others.
