Royal Ascot Ladies Day is set to be celebrated next month at the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness.

The event raises funds for an important Highland charity, Mikeysline, which provides mental health and suicide prevention support.

The Royal Ascot Ladies Day event returned to the Kingsmills Hotel last year and raised a staggering amount of money for the charity, Mikeysline.

The event was a huge success raising £36,000 for Mikeysline, and many people are excited for its return next month.

This money has enabled the charity to maintain and extend the services they offer for vulnerable people in the Highlands.

Emily Stokes, chief executive of Mikeysline said: “ We are delighted to have this partnership with Kingsmills Hotel.

“It is such a fun day which not only raises much needed funds for Mikeysline but also helps to spread the message of the work and support Mikeysline provides in the Highlands.”

Local businesses have again pledged their support to the event with Caley Timber, Stagecoach, Compass and David and Anne Sutherland extending their sponsorship support for the second year.

This year’s event is shaping up to be an ‘amazing fundraiser’ as tickets are almost sold out. There is also much more to be raised on the day with a raffle, auction, silent auction and of course the betting totes.

The main entertainment this year will be provided by a Dolly Parton tribute act with a few extra surprises on the day. The all-day event, family friendly event will include both a lunch and an afternoon tea.

The charity has encouraged everyone to dig out and dust off their best outfits as prizes will be given for the best dressed female and male.

Following the event Don Lawson has sponsored coaches to take party goers to the city centre for an after party at The Den.

Tony Story, managing director of the Kingsmills Hotel said: “Last year we were thrilled to offer Royal Ascot Ladies Day to Mikeysline and see its return to the city events calendar.

“Now in its second year, we are delighted to see it go from strength to strength.

“Mikeysline is such a special and deserving charity and we are so very proud to support them- Royal Ascot Ladies Day joining our annual Mikeysline golf day as two key dates in our calendar.”

“In the past two years, we have raised over £114,000 from these two events and we very much look forward to having a fantastic day and adding to this incredible total this summer.”

The event will take place on Thursday, June 20, from 11am to 6.30pm and tickets cost £95 per person, or £950 for a table of ten.
