Dows Bar & Bistro in Hilton announces temporary kitchen closure after Brambles chef offered new role

A POPULAR Inverness bar had to stop serving food after the catering company behind the kitchen announced its closure.
Dows Bar & Bistro, on Balloan Road, have shared on their Facebook page yesterday that their kitchen will be closed until further notice after Brambles, the catering company that had been providing food at the bar since August last year decided to end the business.
It comes after Brambles' owner and chef Ross Rae was offered a new role as head chef elsewhere.
Run by husband and wife duo Ross and Andrea Harrison-Rae, Brambles cafe was based at Cradlehall Business Park but had to be closed and put on the market in 2021.
The catering business moved to a partnership with the Caley Club on Greig Street before starting their collaboration with Dows in 2022.
Brambles' owners thanked their customers and team on their social channels: "Thank you all for supporting Brambles since August last year. We have had fun spoiling and dining you all.
"Winter was tough for us as a small business, and I am afraid we have just ran out of money. Thank you to the Brambles team, you all were loyal and worked so hard.
"Thank you all for all your kind feedback and photos you sent, we really appreciate it as it kept us going through difficult times.
"Me and Ross will miss you all, as we had a ball."
