A much-loved event in Nairn’s festive calendar was back as crowds gathered for the annual carols concert at the town’s bandstand.

The community gathered to sing along accompanied by music from the Highland Brass band as well as pupils from Mellow Yellow Creative Arts and singers from all over the local area.

Nairn BID director Mandy E Rush, who attended the concert, said: “With this event being held just a little over a week until Christmas Day, Nairn is feeling very festive.

“The weather held and there was a fabulous turnout from the community.

“It was great to see everyone joining in with the carol singing.

“The performers were wonderful and it’s great to hear a brass band at any time of year, but especially in the run up to Christmas.

“The event was supported and made possible by its sponsors The Havelock and The Bandstand Bar and Restaurant and we thank those businesses for getting involved.”
