It is claimed Euan Henderson was not eligible to play in the match at the Caledonian Stadium on Tuesday, which Queen's Park won 2-0.

Henderson signed for Queen's Park on loan from Hearts last Friday, six days after the original tie was postponed due to the pitch being snowbound.

The Scottish Sun reported Scottish Cup rule 12.5 states only those players signed for the first match can be involved in the rearranged game.

It is believed that the Scottish FA will look into the matter and Caley Thistle could be reinstated to the competition.

If Inverness are readmitted to this season's Scottish Cup, they will face Livingston in the fifth round on Saturday, February 11 at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
