Clachnacuddin chairman Alex Chisholm had revealed the idea was one of several being discussed by Highland League clubs as the cost of living crisis looks set to ramp up over the winter months.

Starting matches earlier would dispel the need for floodlights, in turn saving clubs the energy costs required to power them.

We asked if supporters would be in favour of such a move, and a remarkable 100 per cent of voters said yes.

It is not just clubs who need to save money, with Chisholm also revealing the Lilywhites have discussed how it may be possible to help out fans, with lower ticket prices for games not out of the question.
