Queen's Park confirmed that Robin Veldman is no longer manager of their club following their heavy 4-1 defeat to Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Hampden Park on Saturday.

The Spiders confirmed his dismissal two hours following full time in their poor performance against Inverness.

Veldman replaced former Ross County manager Owen Coyle in charge of the Spiders in the summer and despite winning their first three games of the season, they have not won a match since August, failing to win their last 11 league matches.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle moved to sixth place in the Championship following the 4-1 win against Queen's Park at Hampden on Saturday.

Jack Turner gave Queen's Park the lead before Max Anderson levelled for Caley Thistle as the teams went into the break level at 1-1.

Inverness took control of the second half with Nikola Ujdur giving them the lead before a David Wotherspoon strike and penalty from Billy Mckay secured victory.

But the biggest talking point of the game was manager Duncan Ferguson being sent off after his protests to referee Craig Napier saw him receive two yellow cards.

Reaction: Ferguson felt his sending off during match with Queen's Park was unfair.
