Inverness Caledonian Thistle youngster goes on loan to League Two club

Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder Robbie Thompson has joined League Two outfit The Spartans on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old, has made eight appearances for the club since signing full time in summer 2021 and has had loan spells with Highland League side Clachnacuddin in 2021/22 and 2022/23.

Thompson came through the Caley Thistle youth academy and joined the club when he was nine.

The former Inverness Royal Academy pupil made his senior debut for Inverness in September in the Challenge Cup clash against Arbroath.

Earlier today, the club confirmed that David Carson had left Inverness to join Premiership outfit Livingston on an 18-month deal.

It was also confirmed that Caley Thistle have signed midfielder Sean McAllister on loan from English Premiership club Everton until the end of the season.
