HEAD coach Billy Dodds says he now knows who is not good enough for his team after Inverness Caledonian Thistle were hammered 5-1 at Partick Thistle last night.

Inverness proved no match for Partick at Firhill last night as they have now gone eight matches without a win in the Championship.

They are in seventh place, and 11 points behind league leaders Dundee going into 2023.

Dodds says some of his players have proven to him they are not good enough and will be looking to bring in new personnel in the January transfer window.

Dodds said: "That tells me who is good enough and who is not.

"Players have had an opportunity in the last few weeks and it confirms some of them are not at the level to be honest.

"It's a tough one, we should be better than what we did.

"I said to them, I can't believe some of the things you were doing on the pitch.

"We will be fine if we get personnel in and get a few bodies back, but we need to hang in there, and the players who have had their chance have not taken it."

Inverness welcomed back Zak Delaney, Billy Mckay and Sean Welsh from injury.

But Danny Devine, Cameron Harper and Nathan Shaw were ruled out through injury last night as the list of first team players out through injury stands at nine.

Dodds says his team must be better despite the injury crisis.

"We got three back and we lost three, but if you keep talking about injuries people think you are making excuses.

"It is factual. I am an honest guy, I tell the truth, we need to get some sort of results to keep us in touching distance.

"If we get the right personnel in the window and don't lose ones while we are getting them we will go on a run at some point.

"We will push for the play-offs. I won't give up."

"I will take it on the chin and get on with it."

Dodds described his team's defending as horrendous and said the 5-1 scoreline did not flatter Partick.

"The defending was horrendous, Partick scored some good goals, but the defending was nothing short of atrocious.

"It is not good enough and certain players, if they are honest with themselves, let us down.

"At a time you need to be focussed, switched on, structured and professional, they let us down."
