Former Inverness Caledonian Thistle player Harry Hennem has signed for Highland League club Nairn County.

The 19-year-old attacking midfield player has agreed a one-and-a-half year deal at Station Park.

The move came hours after it was revealed Hennem was being released by Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Friday night.

Hennem was previously on loan at Clachnacuddin during the first half of the Highland League campaign, but the deal ended when he left Caley Thistle.

Manager Steven Mackay says he was pleased to secure Hennem's signature.

He said “We are delighted to have secured another talented youngster from the local area. Harry will give us more attacking options and he will compliment our style.

“When we met with Harry, it was evident that he is a very determined young man with an exceptional attitude and he is very eager to develop his game. I believe that Nairn is the best environment for him to do that and we are excited to work with him and watch him develop.”

It has also been confirmed that midfielder Lewis Hyde has gone on loan to Highland League club Brora Rangers until the end of the season.

Two other players left Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Friday, with Zak Delaney moving to Championship rivals Arbroath.

Former captain Sean Welsh also left the club on Friday and is believed to be close to signing for Championship outfit Queen's Park.
