Wallace Duffy will remain an Inverness Caledonian Thistle player after putting pen-to-paper on a new deal.

The 23-year-old's contract had been due to expire this summer, but he has signed a one-year extension to tie him to the club for next season.

Initially signed by John Robertson in the summer of 2020, Duffy was used as a regular right back before injury took him out of the side, and he has had to share minutes on the pitch with Dave Carson at full back.

Under Billy Dodds, Duffy has also been used in the middle of defence, and that could be where he is used more often going forward with Carson tied down to a long-term deal.

Overall Duffy has made 40 appearances for Inverness in all competitions, scoring once – in a 2–2 league draw against Alloa Athletic in February 2021.

He becomes the second Caley Thistle player of the day to sign an extension, following Aaron Doran.
