Caley Thistle face a sweat to find out the extent of injuries to Scott Allardice and Roddy McGregor after both players were forced off injured in the 1–0 win over Cove Rangers in Aberdeen.

McGregor needed assistance to leave the pitch after suffering an injury to his ankle and was seen leaving the Balmoral Stadium in crutches.

Allardice was substituted at half time after it was reported he felt a problem with his thigh.

Head coach Billy Dodds says they will analyse the extent of their injuries as they prepare to face Hamilton Academical at the Caledonian Stadium on Tuesday night.

"Scott had a thigh problem which he felt come on again and we did not want to take any chances," said Dodds.

"Roddy was running when the other boy clipped his leg and he rolled his ankle.

Caley Thistle have now won five league matches and are level on points with leaders Partick Thistle, but are in second place on goal difference.

While Dodds is pleased they are picking up victories, he believes there is more to come from their performances.

"We are flying results wise because my boys keep finding them.

"It''s not been pretty, but if you are asking me for determination and effort, I am getting all of that and we are winning.

"If we are winning without our full quota of players, then I am delighted.

"I am delighted with their work rate, but we can play better and we will get better.

"If you are playing bad and winning games, I will take it.

"It's a mark of a good team.

"To win five games in a row in this league is so hard, and we have had to dig in during a few games to do it."

Caley Thistle have the best defensive record in the league having only conceded nine goals in the campaign.

Dodds paid tribute to his back line for putting them in the position they are.

"My back four are looking solid and got a few clean sheets which is hard to do in this league.

"We always score goals and create chances and I think if we keep a clean sheet most weeks, we will score most weeks as we have players to hurt teams."
