JEREMIAH Chilokoa-Mullen is out for the rest of the season and there are fears over midfielder Charlie Gilmour as Caley Thistle’s injury problems continue to mount ahead of Tuesday's game against Dunfermline Athletic.

Chilokoa-Mullen, who arrived on loan from Leeds United last month, has sustained a stress fracture to his back which will mean he will play no further part this campaign.

Meanwhile, Gilmour sustained a bad knee injury in the 1-1 draw against Arbroath on Saturday with manager Duncan Ferguson fearing he could be out for a lengthy period of time.

In addition, Inverness will also be missing defenders Nikola Ujdur (hamstring) and Morgan Boyes (knee) through injury.

Midfielder Luis Longstaff will also be out for two months, fellow midfielder Roddy MacGregor is awaiting results of an MRI scan and striker Adam Brooks has sustained a thigh injury.

Ferguson admitted the injury list at Inverness is making life difficult and to lose both Chilokoa-Mullen and Gilmour for Tuesday night is a massive blow.

Ferguson said: “Jeremiah, who we got on loan from Leeds United, has a stress fracture in his back, so he is out for the season. That’s a big blow for us as he’s a good young player.

“We really are mounting up injuries. Charlie Gilmour was too brave for his own good. He got injured in the first 15 minutes on Saturday.

“He stayed on the pitch. We tried to get him off at half time, but he refused to come off because he’s a warrior. He’s gone for a scan and it doesn’t look good.

“Niko will be another couple of weeks with his hamstring injury. Roddy MacGregor will be another two or three weeks as he waits for an MRI scan.

“Morgan Boyes, with a knee injury, could be another couple of weeks.

“Luis Longstaff will be out for another couple of months.

“Adam Brooks had a pulled thigh, so we’re not sure where we’re at with that.”

Inverness were only able to name four outfield players on the substitutes’ bench at Arbroath on Saturday.

Ferguson says they are taking precautions in training to ensure no further players pick up injuries as they look to get out of the relegation zone.

He said: “We only named four outfield subs on Saturday, two of whom were not really fit. Wallace Duffy was on the bench as an absolute emergency. He is still struggling with a calf injury.

“We’re down to the bare bones. We will reduce the load in training to make sure we don’t pick up any more injuries in training. It’s such a crucial time of the season.

“We have enough players in there who are good enough. Obviously now we’re trying to reduce the load in training to try and make sure we don’t pick up anything more.

“We’re going from game to game now, but we’ve enough players in there and they’re good enough so we’re looking forward to the match.”
