'Yes' vote for renewal of Visit Loch Ness Tourism Business Improvement District for five years

Those eligible to vote in the geographical area have voted ‘yes’ to renew the Visit Loch Ness Tourism Business Improvement District for a further period of five years from 1 April 2024 until 31 March 2029.

The organisation represents an area totalling 1200 square miles, including more than 40 communities.

To support its members, who operate in more than 30 sectors, the organisation delivers a range of activities from its business plan including marketing, infrastructure, events, business tourism, business development and lobbying.

Ballot papers for the BID ballot were sent to eligible voters on Thursday 25 January 2024 and the businesses had the opportunity to cast their vote for the past seven weeks.

The counting of votes was held today Monday 18 March 2024 and the ‘yes’ result is published on the council’s website by the Ballot Holder and independent scrutineer, for the CIVICA Electoral Services.
