WATCH: NHS Highland urges people in Inverness and the Highlands to get the 'right care in the right place' over the festive period – as case numbers for Covid increase

NHS Highland has asked people to get the 'right care in the right place'.

Releasing a video from Dr Mike Rennie - it called on people to order prescriptions early, and to speak to NHS 24, or make an appoitment with a GP before making a decision to come to the Accident and Emergency department.

A spokeswoman for NHS Highland said: "With Covid-19 still here, it is more important than ever this winter that we access the Right Care in the Right Place to ease the pressure on our NHS.

"Dr Mike Rennie, a consultant within our Emergency Department at Raigmore Hospital, explains how we can all do our bit to reduce the pressure on our NHS, and especially our emergency departments, this festive period."
