Inverness-own Hollywood star shared some behind-the-scene snaps as she got ready to hit the red carpet at one of the top film industry events of the year.

Guardians of the Galaxy star Karen Gillan attended the Golden Globes at the weekend as the third movie in the popular franchise was running for a Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award.

On her TikTok account the actress shared her prep routine to the awards and some snippets on the night alongside her co-star Pom Klementieff (who plays Mantis in Guardians of The Galaxy).

The award went ultimately to Barbie – the highest-grossing film of 2023 earning $1.4 billion worldwide – that took home the award.

Nonetheless the star seemed to have a good time and attended the event wearing an eye-catching outfit by avant-garde Dutch designer Iris Van Herpen.

The dress – called Eclipse – is made from a multitude of white spheres which are hand-cut and hand-stitched creating a layered pattern.

Karen recently appeared in The Simpsons and is in the process of launching a new video-sharing app called Seen.
