Torvean Junior Parkrun in Inverness has been cancelled this Sunday after Travellers set up camp in Torvean park.

The 2K event is for children aged 4 to 14.

The decision follows the cancellation of this Saturday's 5K Inverness Parkrun.

Volunteers for the junior event have been told: "Just a quick message to say that we are following the 5K and cancelling Junior Parkrun this coming Sunday."

It came as a group of Travellers set up a makeshift camp at the park used for the events.

A Walk for Parkinson's charity event is also due to take place at the location this Sunday.
