Police are appealing for information following a serious car crash yesterday.

The 41-year-old male driver of a silver Honda Jazz and front-seat passenger, a 33-year-old woman, were both taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with serious injuries. The man’s condition is described as stable and the woman’s condition is critical.

The car was involved in a collision at around 10.45am with a white Volkswagen Tiguan that was towing a 14ft Ifor Williams trailer on the A833 at Culnakirk near Drumnadrochit.

The road was closed for around six hours.

Road policing Sergeant Angus Macleod said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and can help with our enquiries to establish the full circumstances to get in touch.

“In particular, if you have dash-cam footage that could assist our investigation then please contact us.”

Anyone who can help should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1009 of Friday, February 4, 2022.
