Police have appealed for witnesses after the break-in at the premises in Crown Avenue.

A spokesman said entry was forced to the premises between 10pm last night and 7am this morning.

An unconfirmed amount of cash was taken.

Inspector Graham Brown said: "I would ask anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity around the Crown or city centre area overnight to get in touch as soon as possible.

"Anyone with information can call 101, quoting NN5971, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Velocity is run as a social enterprise.
