A Loch Ness-side road that was hit by a fresh landslide will reopen later today after successful clean-up operations.

Highland Council has confirmed that the B852 Dores to Foyers road will reopen to traffic from 3.30pm today.

"The road is clear and we are just doing the final sweep," the local authority confirmed on Twitter shortly before 2pm.

It came a few hours after it had warned motorists that a fresh landslip had blocked the route – one of several such slides to have hit the region's roads in recent days due to flooding and torrential rains.
