A Loch Ness-side road has closed again after a further landslip on the route, Highland Council has warned.

Confirming the closure in its daily winter roads update on Thursday morning, the local authority advised drivers that a section of the B852 Dores to Foyers and Whitebridge road was shut.

It said: "B852 closed again due to further landslip, being attended to now."

It also confirmed the closure on its Twitter feed.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the region the local authority was reporting "covering snow" on all routes in Caithness and Sutherland.

They were also warning of severe hoar frosts in many locations across the local authority area, and sub-zero temperatures.
