The A82 has fully reopened between Invermoriston and Inverness almost 30 hours after a landslide first shut the route.

Teams from roads firm BEAR Scotland worked through the night to clear debris and drains and check the safety of the route with geotechnical inspections after flood water brought parts of the slope above the route crashing onto the carriageway.

A landslip at Abriachan was followed by a similar incident at Allt Sigh yesterday as torrential rain through the day took it's toll.

The A82 north of Drumnadrochit reopened following the stemming of the flow of water and clearing of the debris.

Between Drumnadrochit and Invermoriston, it reopened under traffic light control.
