The Original Factory Shop set to welcome customers in new Nairn store today

A discount store is set to open a new branch in Nairn today (Friday, April 12) at 9am.
The Original Factory Shop (TOFS) has taken the place formerly occupied by M&Co on the High Street.
Although a soft launch is planned today, Saturday morning will see a “grand opening” event from 9am with free gift cards to the first 50 paying customers and a prize draw with cash values of up to £100 to be won.
It comes after the brand took over the premises left empty by M&Co on Academy Street in Inverness last year.
A spokesperson said that the new store – which will sell goods from homeware to clothing and outdoor products – will create eight jobs in the local community.
Lisa Clark, regional business development manager, comments: “TOFS is a national business made up of over 200 local businesses, so we’re really excited to be coming to Nairn and serving the local community.
“Our store will be run by local people from Nairn, and we’ve started recruiting for eight job positions and are keen to hear from candidates so that we’re ready to start serving up great value products when the new store opens on Saturday.”
Plans to take over the premises were announced in June last year.
Brands stocked at the store will include the likes of Adidas, Nike, Clinique, Olay, Ralph Lauren, Converse, Hugo Boss and Emporio Armani.
It will be running a set of special in-store-only offers from opening up while stocks last.
The Original Factory Shop also has branches in Invergordon and Thurso.
