SOME city centre taxi ranks are on the move to make way for resurfacing work.

Taxi ranks in Academy Street will be relocated to Station Lane temporarily.

The works start on Sunday and are expected to run until Friday – a day longer than previously forecast.

A spokeswoman for Highland Council said: "During the taxi ranks' relocation public parking will be suspended in Station Lane."
