GORDON Mackay, Lyle Mackay and Donnie Maclean made it up Ben Nevis in 2 hours and 58 minutes on Saturday, raising money for Mikeysline.

Mikeysline is an Inverness-based mental health charity that supports people affected by suicide or who are struggling with their mental health.

The three were delighted with how the climb went after setting off at 4am and reaching the summit just before 7am.

They had a few falls on the way down but no injuries.

Mr Mackay (Spiderman) from Brora, said: "I wanted to raise money for a charity that’s close to my heart after losing a few friends due to suicide. Mikeysline seemed the best charity to choose.

"I feel there’s immense pressure on young folk now, everyone is that busy and it’s going unseen. Men's mental health been one of the biggest concerns up here."

The fundraising page is still open and is currently sitting at just over £2900.
