THREE men from the Highlands will climb Ben Nevis on Saturday to raise money for Mikeysline, a mental health support charity.

Gordon Mackay (Spiderman), Lyle Mackay from Tain (Batman) and Donnie Maclean from Inverness (Hulk) start their climb at 4am to avoid the heat as their costumes are not very airy!
It will be the first time they have done Nevis and think the biggest challenge will be the weather.

Mr Mackay, from Brora, said: "I wanted to raise money for a charity that’s close to my heart after losing a few friends due to suicide. Mikeysline seemed the best charity to choose.

"I feel there’s immense pressure on young folk now, everyone is that busy and it’s going unseen. Men's mental health been one of the biggest concerns up here."

The trio have currently raised £1777 on their JustGiving page.

A spokesperson for Mikeysline added: "Everyone's favourite superheroes will soon be off to climb Ben Nevis for Mikeysline.

"We wish them a safe journey on this challenge and thank them warmly for their support and for helping get the message across to men out there, that #itsoknottobeokay and to talk to someone if you feel you need support.

"Let's hear it for Gordon, Lyle and Donnie... excuse us, of course we mean Spiderman, Batman and the Hulk."
