They say every storm cloud has a silver lining – and staff at Highland Hospice would surely agree.
The much-loved charity has been gifted close to £20,000 worth of clothing after a huge thunderstorm wreaked havoc for an Inverness supermarket.
Tesco Extra at Inshes had to close on Sunday after a massive downpour and high winds damaged its roof and sent water cascading through the damaged ceiling.

Rather than throw out water-damaged goods, kind-hearted staff and management at the store decided to give the items to the local cancer care charity
The deluge of donations is estimated to be worth between £18,000 and £20,000.
All items will be washed and dried before being resold.
Shirlee Lumsden who runs the hospice’s warehouse said: “We are absolutely delighted and so touched to receive such a valuable donation from Tesco.
“The store representatives who handed them over to us said that they chose the hospice as we provide a service that is close to everyone’s hearts.
