Repair work on an Inverness building hit by a car will get under way next Tuesday.

A car crashed into the property in Pumpgate Street/Grant Street in January 2021.

Scaffolding was put in place by Highland Council to stop the building collapsing.

The council has arranged for Laing Traditional Masonry Group to start work on site next Tuesday with an aim to keep any disruption to the local community to a minimum.

A council spokesman said: "The start date for these works has been timed to facilitate emergency works needing to be carried out to the main sewer on Lochalsh Road by Scottish Water."

The works are expected to last until mid-November.
