ScotRail is warning Highland commuters that a fresh signalling fault on the line between Inverness and Aberdeen will be causing disruption this morning.

Due to the signalling issue between Inverness and Elgin, trains on this line might be delayed.

This comes just after two other signalling faults on lines to and from Inverness, the first affecting the Highland Mainline as well as the Kyle and Far North line and the second which disrupted trains on the Aberdeen to Inverness line yesterday.

The disruption is expected to last until 10am today, with services progressively returning to normal after the fault was fixed approximately around 8.30am.
