Problems regarding the operation of two pharmacies in Inverness are ongoing.

NHS Highland has received an update from Lloyds Pharmacy, which has been hit by issues for almost a month.

A health board spokesman said the two Lloyds pharmacies in Inverness are still experiencing a prescription backlog but have new staff in training.

"Lloyds Pharmacy in Greig Street will return to normal opening hours on November 21," he said. "They will remain open for mornings only between now and then in order to support their colleagues in the Riverside Pharmacy.

"Lloyds Pharmacy in Riverside will remain open only in the afternoons for the rest of November. During that period they will focus on catching up with their backlog of prescription. The health board expects them to return to their normal opening hours from the end of this month.

"If you wish to change your preferred pharmacy for collecting your prescriptions, please notify your GP surgery or the local pharmacy you wish to use, and they will update your records. If your prescription is located within one of the affected pharmacies and you wish to take to another pharmacy, please ask the colleagues on site who will happily assist you."
