Utopia Cafe in Inverness has now reopened.

Established four years ago by Kevin Paterson, Utopia Café in Hilton fast became a favourite in the Inverness food scene providing fresh, local goods.

The cafe closed its doors last year, and Kevin has sinced talked about his own battles with mental health in an article with The Press and Journal.

After a soft opening last weekend, the doors are now fully back open at the hotspot.

Taking to social media, Kevin Paterson shared:"Much like before, it’s walk-ins only, unless you would like to book for afternoon tea between 2pm-4pm. This must be booked and confirmed with 48 hours notice and more details on this are to come in due course.

"We're trialling a new system of grab a menu when you come in and order at the counter when you’re ready.

"I know it’s not as personable as table service but it makes it a little less pressuring for the front of house team and allows things to flow a bit better.

"Once things have settled and we’ve found our feet again fully, we aim to open for some late nights, so keep an eye out for more details on that front and for further updates to our menu as the extraction/ventilation issues are fully resolved.

"Thanks again for your unwavering support and kindness and we’ll see you again soon."
