Utopia Café in Inverness looks set to reopen several months after its owner indicated it was now 'the end of the road'.
Established four years ago by Kevin Paterson, Utopia Café in Hilton fast became a favourite in the Inverness food scene providing fresh, local goods.
In a social media post, he stated: "Many of you have been curious as to what's happening with the café moving forward, and I'm glad to say that I finally have an update for you all.
"The good news for us and our lovely loyal followers is that Utopia will be back open again really soon! Bonkers, I know.
"It's been a bit of a fluid situation up until now, and one that's changed and evolved multiple times over the last few months. Firstly, it seems I was convincing myself I wanted to give it all up, but after really stepping back and reflecting on the last few years, I've eventually concluded that I've still got unfinished business with this whole running your own business thing!
"There's been a lot of time to process what we did well, and what didn't quite go so well, and I'm excited about the prospect of giving it another [go] and trying new approaches to repeated challenges.
"I thrive in life when I have ambitious plans, focus and direction. So although stepping back was right for me in that moment, it's made me realise just how much I need the café in my life, and all the great things that come with it. Most of all being that I miss seeing so many of you sound and cool people on a daily [basis], and the hugely valuable social element that comes with that.
"I'm facing a few issues with the building in reopening, but once all of that is sorted, I am aiming to get the show on the road once again as soon as possible.
"I'm buzzing to share more with you soon. Thank you for waiting so patiently for an update. New year, new vibe, new era... and all that!"
