Police Scotland officers investigating car break-in in Inverness issue new appeal after narrowing the time of the offence
Police investigating a car break-in in Inverness last month have reissued an appeal for information after narrowing down the time window in which the incident took place.
Officers had previously appealed for information after a car was broken into on Balnain Street in Inverness sometime between 10pm on Tuesday, April 9 and 1.45pm on Wednesday, April 10. A mystery note was left at the scene, possibly by a witness, but it was destroyed by rainwater.
Police hope their latest appeal may now produce fresh information after they were able to place the incident as occurring just after 4am on Wednesday, April 10.
And they have urged the public to check their CCTV, dashcam and doorbell cameras to see if they captured anything suspicious at around that time.
A police spokesperson said: "If you live in the area nearby and have CCTV or a camera-doorbell type device, we would urge you to check it for two males, both dressed all in black. One appears to be wearing a 'puffer jacket'.
