POLICE INCIDENT: Ness Bridge in Inverness closed to traffic and pedestrians

UPDATE: Inverness water rescue: Emergency services respond to city centre incident

The bridge is currently closed to all traffic.

An eye witness who contacted the Courier suggested it may be a person of concern incident as officers appeared to be talking to a man on the river side of the barrier.

We have not been able to confirm that at this time although the bridge is currently closed to both vehicles and pedestrians.
