Eco-spirited youngsters have helped to clean up an Inverness neighbourhood.

Fourteen members of the Police Scotland Youth Volunteers (PSYV) took to public spaces in the Inshes area earlier this week to pick up rubbish and help celebrate Earth Month.

In total they filled eight bags of rubbish between them.

Their efforts have won plaudits in the community, when Police Scotland shared their environmentally-spirited actions via their social media channels.

Karen Graham said: "Well done the youth for volunteering. Keep up the good work."

And Maureen Maclennan added: "Well done to all, maybe if people took a pride in themselves and surroundings we wouldn't need litter pickers."
