Eco-minded volunteers are being urged to lend a hand when a beach clean takes place at a Moray Firth beauty spot this weekend.

The Highlife Highland countryside rangers have organised a community beach clean in Ardersier this Saturday (April 20).

“Join us on ‘Keep Scotland Beautiful’ month and help clear up the rubbish blown into the bay after the winter storms,” said a spokesperson. “Bags, gloves (but bring your own if you can) and pickers provided.

"Learn about life along the seashore and enjoy the view you clean.

"Wear sturdy footwear and bring layers of clothing, water and sun cream.

"Come along for as much and little time as you can spare."

The beach clean will be starting at the slipway car park from 10.30am onwards and the event will run until 1pm.
