An annual Christmas parade in Glenurquhart was back to light up the Christmas spirit across communities near Loch Ness.
The annual Christmas Vehicle Parade saw an array of decorated vehicles on display travelling from Corrimony Farm to Lewiston and back to the Loch Ness Hub car park in Drumnadrochit.
A spokesperson for the Loch Ness & Highlands Festival of Light, which organises the parade, said: "More people than in previous years lined the roadside, cheering and clapping as we passed by.
"Light and the noise of car horns was brought to the Glen, bringing Christmas cheer to all.
"This might be the event of the year for local farmers, since they make huge efforts to decorate their tractors, and expressions of thanks could be widened to say that the community is showing their appreciation for the hard work of the volunteers in the local lifeboat station who keep watch to make sure that people using Loch Ness are saved when their boats run into difficulties, and for the farmers’ hard work all year round.
"We have many unsung heroes in the Glen, and this is our way of thanking you."
