As these photos show pedestrians need to take care when walking in Inverness.

Pavements are still covered in a layer of ice in certain parts of the Highland capital.

A Highland Council spokeswoman has said staff are being deployed to treat Highland Council roads and footpaths according to agreed council policies and gritting priority maps.
