From major events such as the passing of Queen Elizabeth II to the more local there has been no shortage of goings on touching Inverness in 2022.

Who really knows what the next 12 months will bring for any of us?

But whatever happens, hopefully you can enjoy a few moments here with just a handful of the many, many amazing, evocative images our talented, award-winning team of photographers has managed to capture in the year that is now just about gone.

As well as responding to events in the moment – as any news organisation must and should – we are also always more than happy to hear from readers about any events you are involved with that you think would benefit from some coverage in our titles.

Please feel free to contact us at newsdesk@hnmedia.co.uk with details of any events you would like to publicise now and in the months ahead.
